Welcome back upperclassmen! Orientation Week is one of my favorite times of year because everyone is always so excited to see each other, and the whole campus seems to be in a great mood for a while, until classes kick in and everyone gets tired/stressed/grumpy.

Also, the reintroduction of Super Smash Bros into my life has productivity forecasters projecting a 90% plummet in the coming week. Oh well.

The text in this speech bubble is a lyric from In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel, the title track on my favorite album of all time. One of the very first days of orientation, some new friends and I took an acoustic guitar and sat on top of memorial hill, and we sang that song and I was really happy to be here. But don’t take my word for it… this is an article written about the album by the lead singer of Okkervil River, another band that I think is coming to Northampton soon? This post is getting wordy.
