Important Information on Privacy

 

As The Amherst Public operates on Amherst College owned servers, all relevant policies specified in The Acceptable Use Policy and the College’s general policies and codes of conduct apply to AmhPub just as they apply in any other College setting. This includes relevant codes of respect and laws concerning intellectual property. It is not acceptable to threaten or harass any person through The Amherst Public site.

 

Moreover, The Amherst Public adheres to all of Amherst College’s relevant codes of privacy. The staff of The Amherst Public takes no role in moderating or restricting the content posted on the site. As such, users of the site are solely responsible for the content they post.

 

Further, the staff of the Amherst College Information Technology department reserves the right to remove any content after obtaining proper approval.
