Hey everyone,

My name is Dave Ullman.

I am currently a sophomore at Amherst College. I recently declared the political science major. I am an avid jazz musician, involved in progressive politics (Obama ‘08 yessir) and enjoy a bunch of different sports and games.

I am very excited to be writing a blog on campus affairs at Amherst. Let me say that I really love this place. It’s not perfect, that’s for sure. But on the whole there’s really nowhere I’d rather be. In that sense, any criticism I write is only intended to make it even better. I will never make a personal attack, or treat any person with less than the utmost respect.

However, this is meant to be an open forum for discussion. I invite dissent and I encourage comments. I will not censor comments unless they are truly distasteful or do not comply with the ground rules that I have set (personal attacks, etc.) For this project to work, discussion and debate are crucial. So feel free to let me know when you think I’m right on or when I’m way off. If you are uncomfortable posting with your username, feel free to shoot me an email at dullman10@amherst.edu.
